UniNet Stresses Compliance With REACH Directive Policy
LOS ANGELES — UniNet is currently conducting its REACH directive assessment and applying for compliance with the REACH directive.
REACH is a European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use. It deals with Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of chemical substances. The law entered into force on June 1, 2007.
The company is assures that all relevant changes and developments are contained by the European directive.
In addition, UniNet created a new “Environmental Policy” Web page where clients can download environmental forms and learn about the company's compliance with REACH, as well as other important directives such as RoHs, WEEE, Blue Angel Mark, and Nordic Swan Label.
“This portion of our Web site was designed to let our clients learn how their purchases make a difference and exceed the experience of buying recycling products,” said UniNet President Nestor Saporiti. “It is also helping us to work toward the realization of a sustainable global environment.”
As stated on UniNet’s Web site, the company “has made environmental and recycling awareness its business, and strives to contribute to the savings of more than 40,000 tons of plastic waste per year by its worldwide sales of recycling components.”
Furthermore, UniNet has incorporated environmental protection measures into all its operations and endeavors, and is working with key suppliers and partners to ensure and support its environmental procedures. Its recycling facilities are ISO 14001 certified (Brazil), and is in compliance with RoHS and WEEE directives.
