Static Control Components’ Drums Allow for Multiple Cycles
SANFORD, N.C. — Static Control now provides the means for aftermarket profit margins to increase even more. If remanufacturers use the CTL Replenishment System on new 24mm aftermarket OPCs purchased from Static Control, along with Static Control’s system of matched components, they will be able to achieve three to four cartridge cycles in total.
Static Control’s testing was conducted using a three-page print job, which is a more severe test than most drums will encounter in the field. In this type of testing, three pages are printed, then the machine stops. This process is continued until the cycle is completed. After each cartridge cycle the drum must be replenished using Static Control’s CTL Replenishment System and matched components.
Static Control drums and their compatible engines qualified for this process include: HP 1012/1015, 1018/1020/1022, 1150, 1200/1000/1220, 1160/1320, 1300, P2015/2014, M2727, 1200, and also Canon AX and VX.
After each cartridge cycle remanufacturers must conduct a visual inspection, as recommended with all drums to be CTL replenished, to ensure there are no dents, dings, scratches or severe striations. Information guides will be provided to inform customers of engine listings and the number of cycles that are possible with the use of the CTL Replenishment System. Static Control currently provides detailed video and written instructions for this revolutionary system. With this latest qualification, Static Control is further assisting remanufacturers in their efforts to be environmentally friendly. In addition to remanufacturing cartridges they can now reuse OEM and aftermarket drums that would otherwise be discarded.
