Kyocera Mita Adds Color MFPs

July 6, 2006

Kyocera Mita America strengthened its lineup by launching the KM-C3232, KM-C3225 and KM-C2520 multifunction products (MFPs). Ideal for environments that demand an MFP that produces crisp monochrome output with superior full color, these models offer speed, superior image quality, reliability and productivity.

“By incorporating Kyocera’s advanced technology, and by including versatile print, copy, scan and optional fax features, end users will be able to use the KM-C3232, KM-C3225 and KM-C2520 MFPs as powerful tools for all of their day-to-day complex applications,” said Danielle Jurasek, product and solutions marketing manager, Kyocera Mita America. “Designed to economically manage the output demands of fast-paced organizations, these cost-effective document solutions include improved finishing and paper handling options, and brilliant color output. These innovative products represent Kyocera’s commitment to providing end-users with solutions that satisfy all of their document requirements.”

The KM-C3232, KM-C3225 and KM-C2520 MFPs deliver 32 pages per minute (ppm) color and 32 ppm monochrome; 25 ppm color and 32 monochrome; 20 ppm color and 25 monochrome, respectively. Due to Kyocera’s long-life amorphous silicon (ASi) drums, these models feature an industry leading rated preventive maintenance cycle of 300,000 impressions. This represents twice the yield of the closest competitor and four times the competitive average, which minimizes costs and results in larger intervals between services visits. The devices also feature a standard 40GB hard disk drive for copy/scan, a variety of advanced finishing and paper handling options and optional Super G3/33.6 kbps fax/network fax for high-speed delivery of your documents.

Kyocera offers several layers of network and data security to deploy printing, scanning, and copying and safely in any business or government environment. Security for these networked MFPs can be enhanced through the optional Data Security Kit (D), which overwrites the data of the document on the hard drive when the device is powered up, and/or after each copy, print and scan job. In addition, a PDF enhancement kit offers compression and encryption functionality directly from the MFP’s control panel.

All three MFPs are fully compatible with iTag, Kyocera’s user-friendly document management solution. iTag allows users to capture, index, store, retrieve and share electronic documents at the touch of a button, eliminating the time-consuming and costly processes associated with filing, organizing and sharing a large number of documents. iTag integrates with select Kyocera multifunctional products (MFPs) and helps businesses effectively manage their workflow, leading to a more organized and streamlined work environment. The iTag solution ships with the iTag Validation Station, a powerful Dell™ server preloaded with the iTag software, Microsoft Windows® SharePoint Services and one MFP device connection for out-of-the-box functionality.
